On 11/04/2017 We were ripped off. My wife and I went this past Saturday night to celebrate my birthday. We ordered a couple of drinks and some pop corn. About half way into the movie at the hight of an action scene the server approached my wife and said our card had been declined and they wanted another credit card. My husband and I pulled up our bank account and we were able to see that the card had not been declined, but was indeed charged. (We photographed it) We were able to show this to the server and the subsequent managers to follow.
We have been coming here for years and used to like it very much but today was the last time. The food selection and quality has strongly declined over time and it takes very long even when the place is not busy. Don't like having to pay right away either. What if you want to order something else? Get multiple charges? Ordered my food without blue cheese, got it with and when I told the other waitress who brought the (wrong) refill she just said she wasn't the one who had taken the order and nothing was fixed. So we paid for a full meal of which I only ate the fries.We'll go back to having the food somewhere prior or after the movie. The second star only remains because the seats are still spacious and comfy and we always found easy parking.
We were continuously interrupted during the movie after that by our server. My husband finally was able to get the manager and then another man that said he was the general manager. They were demanding payment again even though it clearly was paid. In an effort to calm my wife down I explained in front of the GM that our bank would not process the same amount twice and allowed the GM to run our card again. And he did, but with a slightly different amount charged than the original total so as not to appear to be the same transaction. We had not added anything to the tab)
The menu isn't as extensive as it once was. The alcohol menu is double the length of the food menu. The trays are kinda small for the food. The chairs are comfy. The cup holder takes up valuable arm rest space.
I am posting this because I hope no one else has to experience this.
I have been a loyal customer for years. Bit the service has declined massively over the past 2 years. This is now prompting me and my wife too look for other options. It would be nice if the management would correct the existing problems with the wait and kitchen staff.
Went to watch Wonder Woman in the second week of its release. As a theater, it's like any other with the benefit of better seats, more legroom, and assigned seating. As a catered dinner theater, it leaves a lot to be desired. First, the drinks ordered had as little to no alcohol, the appetizer of spinach and artichoke dip was cheap and microwaved with a side of stale chips, the food was ordered well before the movie began and delivered a quarter into the movie. My girlfriend's steak and shrimp was a four pieces of flank steak, four pieces of shrimp, and mashed potatoes that were all cold. My south of the border burger was also cold. I've been to other Movies Taverns and Studio Movie Grills that had better food and better seats, though I've seen worse (Venetian Theater Dallas) which had desk chairs. All in all, we tried it with high expectations that were greatly shorted. The second star is because the service was good. The amount paid would have been enough to go for a nice steak dinner with drinks for two and a movie afterward. For now, other options are better.
We missed a lot of the movie also due to the constant interruption by management. My birthday and the movie were ruined. My wife and I felt like we were being bullied and forced to pay more than double in this fraudulent transaction.
Now BOTH transactions were deducted from our account. We are out about $70 for two drinks and a popcorn.
The drinks were just awful and nothing like it was advertised. They manager said he would deduct them from our bill, but did not. They were basically water with a piece of chocolate in it. It was suppose to be a desert drink to toast my birthday.
