- Donkatsu (fried pork cutlet): Standard. Can't mess up donkatsu.

For those who frequent the Duluth area, I would compare Poetree to Danmooji in terms of food, but Poetree has more American fusion items available (e.g. pastas). Some people like Poetree more, others like Danmooji more. To each their own. I think each location has its own signature dishes. At Poetree, I have tried the following (either my own dish or a sample of my friends'):

Awesome food, authentic styles and unique flavors and large portions. Intimate atmosphere. Good management and they treat you very kind.

Overall, the food is decent. Not mindblowing, but I still finished my plate and left with a smile on my face. I recommend sharing a few plates with a group of friends, because they have so many options. Despite the just okay food, I give them a high rating for the decor. Both the interior and exterior are adorable and set a great environment for a date with friends or significant other at a "cheap" price.

Food is tasty and there's hip Kpop usually. They're open late which is great for night owls. Prices are about the same as most Asian food restaurants. I like their fried rice and chicken tonkatsu. The booth seats are kinda comfy with pillows, but you're probably not going to notice them if you're sitting up straight.

- Tuna Kimbap: Also delicious, and probably on a similar level as Danmooji's famous tuna kimbap. But then again... I'm pretty bad at distinguishing differences unless I eat them back to back, so don't be disappointed if I'm wrong.

- Regular Dukboki (spicy rice cake): Sub-par. Danmooji is definitely better for the regular dukboki. And personally, I prefer the Korean supermarket snack bar dukboki better than Poetree's.

- Seafood Pasta: Pretty good. I think the pastas set Poetree apart from other Korean restaurants. Very rich and creamy. I'm glad I just had a few bites of my friend's, though.

Food was good and the waitress was nice but there was literally only one waitress an entire Friday night with all tables full. The poor girl was doing her best but the restaurant really should hire more help!

- Donkatsu Kimbap (rice roll): Delicious! Try it. If I recall correctly, I liked it more than the tuna. It's probably my favorite thing on this list.

- Marinated Chicken Dukboki: Just okay. Less flavor than I wanted, but decent.

- Dessert Waffle: Also standard. You could probably find better dessert waffles at Korean bakeries or dessert shops.

I have been to Poetree two or three times now, and each visit was a pleasant experience. Decent food, drinks, and dessert with cute decor. I would consider it a good casual date location.

Good food. Comfortable atmosphere. Great prices. Not a traditional Korean restaurant but as a "cafe" it is perfect. A young crowd hang out with a nice feel to it. Will go again.
